getting in touch with your feelings

The goal of meditation is to create awareness of your feelings. You can use it to deal with stressful situations or suppressed feelings more effectively. You might get scared seeing a bear. Instead of convincing yourself that you are too sensitive, give yourself permission to have feelings. It is possible that your breathing may become deeper or that your body may react differently to certain situations.

Maybe you have been trained to suppress feelings or act inappropriately. You can control your emotions and let them go whenever you want. Learning to recognize and manage your emotions takes a lifetime.

There are many ways to practice meditation, but the most common is to focus on your breathing. You should pay attention to thoughts or wandering thoughts as you focus on breathing. Practice will soon become second nature. If you miss a session, try again another day.

Many people experience tears while meditating. This is especially common at the beginning of practice or during challenging emotional times. Crying during meditation can help you accept your feelings and work through them. It can also trigger traumatic memories and traumas. It can cause restlessness and aggravate mental problems.
