Essentially, the successive meetings of Venus and the Sun create a pentagram shape in the chart, a magical, protective symbol that is sacred to modern witches and is seen as a repetition in nature by many cultures as well. There is something organic about it, as a representation of creation itself. Although the conjunctions between the Sun and Venus are repeated in equal places in an 8-year cycle, they gradually move backwards through the signs. For the past 143 years, one hand of the Panchagram conjunction has been in Scorpio, but now, this year, the Sun-Venus conjunction has moved to Libra – 29 Libra to be exact. Of course, to an involuntary degree, it suggests that issues of harmony, partnership, alliance and peace are important!

As a new cycle begins in the sky, a new cycle begins here on Earth as well. As soon as Venus sits on the throne of the Sun, it shines brighter than its own zodiac sign. Finally home, Venus is at its greatest strength, and she illuminates where we are out of alignment, where the ego has gotten in the way of the heart. If we consider Pluto moving into Aquarius, Uranus and Sedna going into Gemini, as well as the last great conjunction (Jupiter-Saturn) in Aquarius, we can clearly see that intellectual clarity and debate over How the element of air, with all its focus, is going to be of great importance going forward.

Mercury has entered its shadow zone on the 25th of Virgo – to look back and complete our transformation into Libra and Virgo
