Virgo – Venus in September. 24-Oct 18- Relaxation time for Libra and Taurus – Applied Vedic Astrology
Venus in Virgo: September 24 – October 16
Venus transits Virgo on September 24 and it is time for her to relax and meditate for the rise of Libra and Taurus. Technically, it is weak here but it means that it has to work three times as hard to get the result. Due to the conjunction with exalted Mercury, this year the debilitation is canceled so it will not look harsh like some years. This is an especially difficult time for relationships because Venus in Virgo is overly critical and picky and can lead to poor mate-choice, relationships, falling prey to broken romances, problems with the reproductive organs and bladder, and sugar imbalances. There may be problems with
Venus in Virgo can bring outlustyThe energy of Venus rather than the higher energy of artistic expression. If you give in to this energy, you will find your creative juices drained more and this can be a challenge for artists or designers or professional dancers and singers who rely on Venus. Moderation is always important with Venus in Virgo.
Relationship skills would really require a deep tweaking. The key will be to accept your partner in their flaws and avoid being too critical about the things that bother you. Relationship is always about compromise and acceptance. Trying to change your partner usually doesn’t work, but use your skills to communicate your needs in a non-aggressive way and find a way to compromise and you’ll get through it.
Venus governs business expansion and the desire to buy and in Virgo these energies can be diminished. I often feel that when Venus is in Virgo the stock market will fall or sales may drop so you will have to work three times as hard with your creative marketing efforts during this time. Venus rules peace and diplomacy and this is a disturbing transit given the delicate situation in the world with the US and Russia.
Leo Mudra is associated with Venus and the second chakra of creativity and pro-creativity, so if your creative juices seem to be at a low point then you can do that mudra.
The natives of Taurus and Libra will be the most troubled by this transit, while Virgo and Capricorn can do the best with it. The growing Libra in particular will need to take more rest, save energy, take more time to meditate, and go on a spiritual retreat to balance the yearly imbalance.

Time to learn Vedic astrology from scratch but with incredible depth
There isn’t some knowledge here for everyone, even those with sufficiently deep material and more experienced experience new insights. My goal is to modernize Vedic astrology on a psychological and emotional basis for the western mind so that we can understand the ideals of the planets and signs and what we have chosen to learn in this lifetime. For this class the emphasis will be on understanding the unique qualities of each ascendant sign and how each zodiac has a set of planets that are helpful and some that distract. This modern version will go beyond good and bad judgments to try to understand this deeper psychology of why some things work and why they don’t work by rising signs and what lessons we have to learn because of their placement. Students of Vedic astrology will also get a new depth into the planets and zodiac signs in this class.
This class is a foundation class to introduce the basics of Vedic astrology for those who wish to learn more about understanding their own charts and understanding the basics of chart reading. This is a base class for taking further classes from Barry which are available by videotape and require no understanding of Vedic astrology at all. Additional foundation courses are already available to continue including Transit, Dasha, Nakshatra, Secrets of the Houses and much more.
Available to replay on videotape or to make up for missed classes.
