Sturgeon Supermoon in Aquarius – The Hoodwich

The Sun and the Moon oppose each other in the sky, while the Earth lies between the two planets. The conjunctions and positions of the planets create a luminous effect on the Moon that makes it brighter than ever from Earth’s point of view. Since July 13 brings a supermoon (the most prominent of the year), it brings the Moon closer to Earth, making the Moon appear larger and more vibrant than ever before.

The full moon represents the culmination of a 30-day lunar cycle. All the projects we have been working on for the past one month have either come to an end or have reached a critical juncture. There has been change and development. Now is the time to reflect and enjoy the fruits of our labors.

The full moon occurs at 6:36 PM PT and 9:36 PM ET.

This lunation gets its name from the abundance of sturgeon fish available in Lake Champlain and the Great Lakes at this time of year.

The Aquarius Supermoon joins with retrograde Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. Saturn is the traditional ruler of Aquarius, while Uranus is the modern planetary ruler of the air sign.
