Saturn Square Uranus 2021/22 ~ Techno Tyrant by Darkstar Astrology
The Saturn Uranus aspect tells of invention, flight and innovation in general, mechanical things in particular. Saturn and Uranus are politically opposing forces, with Saturn being authority and tradition while Uranus is seen as rebellious and progressive. Saturn square Uranus will then be more intimidated by change or the control of rebels.
Saturn square Uranus: accurate 17 February 2021, 14 June 2021 and 24 December 2021
Whole 2022 Saturn square Uranus continues to be felt as it is triggered by both Mars and the North Node in Taurus Deccan 2. When both Saturn and Uranus are retrograde, they meet again in late August, peaking in late September and October 2022.
Soft aspects can make a revival. Taking old ideas and looking at them in a new way, like an improvisation. It may also be that ideologies that have been considered radical or non-PC in the past suddenly become palatable. The softer aspect may be the sugar coated-pill that enables Uranus changes to happen without too much rebellion.

There is a challenge to the governing authority, but the changes made will seem familiar, so that people are not really taken out of their comfort zones. There is a lot of change in Uranus, but with a softer aspect from Saturn, the change will be done gradually, like boiling a frog…
Those born in any tight aspect of Saturn and Uranus become symbols of the social changes taking place collectively. Sue Tompkins says of people born with Saturn/Uranus contacts;
“In different aspects of their lives, they will often experience internal struggles whether to adopt a strong anti-establishment, progressive and radical line or to respect authority, tradition and one that has stood the test of time.” [1]

Charles Carter sees Saturn/Uranus as inflexible, controlling and even tyrannical! This will certainly be the case with difficult aspects. And even in my research for the softer aspects I found natives that would be considered tyrannical. Generally, Saturn Uranus aspects bring disciplined innovation.
fear of technology
John Logie Baird (Saturn sextile Uranus), the inventor of the television, is a fine example of a piece of technology that was perhaps both apprehensive and welcome. The TV set has certainly changed our lives radically, some would say for the worse, and now we have those screens everywhere.
Let us now turn to the manifestation of this energy at the individual level. You can see in my original examples below that these cyclic, rotating themes repeat. Revolution is the rotation of the wheel. Whenever a theory/ideology/fashion reaches its peak and is no longer working, it signals the end of a cycle. The new cycle often starts with something classic and timeless. The insignificant frills are cut out in the true Shani style and the old becomes the new.
Saturn square Uranus 2021 and 2022
We will experience Saturn square Uranus three times in the fixed signs of Taurus/Aquarius. Saturn rules Aquarius and is therefore very strong and highly authoritarian in Aquarius.
Saturn in Aquarius can be a tyrannical humanist and even quite a communist (Aquarius is big on equality and also very utopian) while Uranus in Taurus is kind of a fanatic farmer. Pitch forks at dawn?
Another development with this aspect is AI, the merger of organic humans (Saturn) with technology (Uranus). Uranus crypto-currencies in Taurus may rise, with this square an economic crash that causes a revolution. It may also be about bringing back the gold standard as Saturn is the old ways.
Whatever happens, the squares are always very challenging, and this very certain one will be even more extreme until both sides dig their feet until one side snaps. I don’t think there will be much chance of compromise.

In some ways this square is similar to that of Uranus square Pluto which lasted from 2012 to 2015. I called him ‘Dominator and Dictator’ because I found that the last Uranus square Pluto in 1932/34 heralded the rise of the Nationalist Socialist Party. and Hitler. I wonder if it would be a similar effect of Saturn square Uranus, a type of Uranus square Pluto Light.
There are currently a lot of restrictions (Saturn) to our freedom (Uranus) and flight restrictions. Unfortunately I don’t see it easy even during 2021 or 2022. Our smart phones are fast becoming the cyber version of the ball and chain. We already have that to some extent in the UK with ‘Track and Trace’. How is Saturn’s square to Uranus? Uranian technology is being used for surveillance.

Saturn rise: Mary Shelley belonged to a very progressive Uranian family. Frankenstein (or ‘The Modern Prometheus’) Mary’s most famous work is a great expression of her Saturn sextile Uranus. Saturn, the grisly reaper of death, is brought back to life by a lightning bolt from Uranus. In reference to Saturn sextile Uranus “Mary Shelley believed in the idea of the Enlightenment (Uranus) that people could improve society through the responsible (Saturn) exercise of political power, but she feared that irresponsible exercise of power.” will lead to anarchy.”
Mary’s radical upbringing and rocky relationship with bohemian husband Percy Shelley caused Mary to yearn for more Saturnian stability as she grew older. Like her Frankenstein creation, Shelley “presents a deeply disillusioned commentary on the Age of Revolution, which culminates in a complete rejection of the progressive ideals of its generation”.

Saturn rise: Robert Bosch was a German industrialist and inventor who campaigned tirelessly to bring about reconciliation between Germany and France during WW2. “They hoped that this reconciliation would lead to lasting peace in Europe and the creation of a European Economic Zone. The Bosch Company accepted the arms contracts and an estimated 20,000 Employed forced laborers (including about 1200 concentration camp prisoners)….
At the same time, Bosch supported the resistance against Adolf Hitler and with his close allies saved the victims of Nazi persecution from exile, you can clearly see the contrasts and conflicts where Bosch used his technique (Uranus). Saturn rise: Camille Saint-Saens was a French composer who was inspired by the modern music of his era, such as Wagner and Liszt. Saint-Saens caused a scandal as a teacher by introducing these major modern works to his students in place of the accepted classics. As Saint-Saens matured, they became vocally conservative in their musical preferences and became much more Saturnian.
