Love Horoscope for the week of August 8
The week begins with an emotionally demanding tone that is contrary to the usual style you would expect from Venus in Cancer. Sure, she might be ready to stamp and pat her foot if it doesn’t get her way, but she rarely raves about it. It might not have happened earlier this week, because Venus in Cancer is opposite PlutoHappening on Monday, with the exact aspect. This is a time when affection and finances and sugar are going to be especially sought after. Be prepared to spend extra time comforting and encouraging your loved ones, and make sure you have an extra pint of ice cream tucked away in case you need to hide on the couch and watch Netflix.
Not helping anyone: The fact is that Mars in Taurus is not the master of concentrating properly or keeping its temperament properly, and Mars is still within square range from Saturn. This can provide an added impetus to the proceedings of the week.
Instead of fading away as Venus leaves the final degree of Cancer, it will come out with somewhat of a bang, aided and inspired by two separate events on Thursday. First, there is a Full Moon on 19th Aquarius, Now if you find yourself thinking, “Hey, this is dangerously close to the square of Uranus and conjunction with Saturn, and that could mean that this particular full moon is really big and really jittery, “So congratulations, you’re paying attention. A lot of tension built up over the months will now get resolved fast. If any tension has been brewing between you and a loved one over the past week or two, Thursday may not be the ideal time to address those issues. Likewise, don’t be too surprised if someone throws you on your lap to settle a particularly thorny issue.
At this point, it seems like we could all use a speed change, right? Luckily, Zodiac is throwing us a bone this week (Thursday too) Venus leaves Cancer and enters Leo, It doesn’t take long to study astrology to learn that Venus in Leo is associated with good times and playfulness and romance. None of this is guaranteed, of course – like everything in life, if you want to attend the carnival, you’ll have to buy a ticket. But it will help set the tone for the next weeks if what you’re looking for is to take your burden off and get out and socialize and meet and greet and feel like a connected person again. A lot of us have needed that sort of thing lately. So thanks, Venus in Leo!
