Alice strongly suspected that her rival had underestimated her, but ultimately decided to let go of what had passed.

“I thought you’d sort everything out,” I said.

“I thought I had too. But lately, every time I look at her, all I can think about is, ‘It’s too bad I have to work with her everyday, I’m with her. I won’t even drink alcohol!'”
