Full Moon in Aquarius on August 11
August 5th~12th
“The Turn of the Road” by John Atkinson Grimshaw
We cannot be afraid of change. You can feel very safe in the pond you are in, but if you never get out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as the ocean, the ocean. Holding on to what’s good for you right now may be the reason why you can’t have anything better. , C. Joybel C.
The season’s final supermoon, the Full Moon Sturgeon Moon, rises the following week on the evening of August 11. What makes this moon so astrologically significant is not just another supermoon, but because of its close proximity to Saturn and its close square to the nodes of Uranus and the Moon. At 19º Aquarius 21′, the Full Moon retrograde is only 3º from Saturn at 22º Aquarius, and is within one degree of Uranus and the North Node at 18º of Taurus. And coming exactly 1 week after the triple conjunction of Mars/Uranus and the North Node of Taurus at 18º, we can see a number of themes at play under the auspices of next week’s full moon.
One of the most notable themes is the Saturn/Uranus square that dominated the 2021 astrological season. Now that Saturn is retrograde and retreating through Aquarius, and Uranus is slowing to its own station on August 24, they are now within range of forming a square angle once again. And they are doing so within the confines of the lunar nodes in Taurus and Scorpio, forming a dynamic cross in the fixed signs. Therefore, anyone whose planets are in the range of 16-22º of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius) will feel little movement of the earth. Although I doubt that we will all be aware of the sea change in the air.
indicate class struggle. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Without struggle there will be no growth or change. There would be no incentive to do anything. It is this restlessness that drives us to make a change. The conflict is further exacerbated by the core properties of the planets involved, particularly the ringed giants, Saturn and Uranus.
Shani wants things to remain as they were, and maintain the status quo. Saturn is conservative, cautious and opposed to change. This can be a good thing when we want to preserve something that we consider to be time-honored and of deep value; And so much time, resources and energy is invested in manufacturing. If we are invested in something, we want to protect it from forces that can threaten its very existence. Shani is the planet of promises, and keeps his oath. It is the planet of responsibility and respects its obligations. If we identify with Saturn, Uranus can feel like square chaos and chaos is descending upon us, threatening to destroy what we hold dear.
Conversely, Uranus will not be constrained. It needs space and freedom to grow and develop; and will rebel against anyone or anything that tries to limit or define it. If we are oppressed, confined, or stuck in a rut, and we identify with Uranus energy, we will see Saturn square as stifling and oppressive. And we will do everything possible to free ourselves from the chains that bind us.
We may find that in some areas of our lives we would like to maintain the status quo even when it feels like a radical and chaotic change. While in others we may feel stuck in a rut, and some are willing to take risks, or push for change. It also happens when we ask ourselves: Should I stop or go? What is worth saving and holding? What else is limiting me and stopping me from growing?
Generally speaking, most people are creatures of habit. We do things a certain way, because we’ve always done them that way. We build routines and set patterns around our habits. This can create an element of comfort and stability, but it can also trap us in ropes that we find difficult to emerge. On these occasions, like we are doing now, we can become aware of the idea that there may be better ways to do things, and that we don’t always have to keep doing things the way we always used to. . What was relevant 15 years ago may no longer be valid for who you are now. What a deep thought! Yet we get caught up in these habits and patterns and ways of being, and don’t let go. Poornima is trying to make us aware of these patterns.
Now that we’re getting these transits, such as the Mars/Uranus/North Node conjunction, or this illuminating Super Full Moon on August 11th, is shedding light on the patterns of our lives. In the light of the full moon this coming week ask yourself:
-
What are some patterns or habits that you would like to change in your life?
-
What obligations are you committing to that are beginning to feel overly oppressive and limiting?
-
What changes or adjustments can you make that will give you more freedom to live your life on your own terms?
-
What would it mean for you to live a freer, more authentic life and lifestyle?
-
Are you living your best life, or are you living the life others tell you you should live?
And the day came when the risk of being stuck in a bud was more painful than the risk of it blooming. , Anais Nino
