The Sun enters Virgo at 11:16 a.m. EDT. It’s the season of perfectionists, fixers, refiners. Yes, the “humble” Virgo helps others but the greater aim is to do something better because of their intolerance of flaws. Virgo is a sharpshooter with the highest standards – it never happens right now about helping someone. Unconditional support is Pisces (the opposite sign of Virgo).

It’s a season of work and transition—the mutable Virgo is the boundary between summer and autumn (the next sign, Libra, holds the autumn equinox). In this period you are faced with the energy to get something right, while realizing that it could get better. Therefore this sign’s desire to continually purify – perfection is the dynamic goal. The key is to know that you’ve gotten to the point where it’s perfect and you’ll break it if you refine it further.

At the same time we have an awareness of what is not enough. When perverted, it creates a paralyzing sense of inadequacy and self-flagellation through slavery. But when handled properly it inspires – Virgo is a pro at upgrading.

Stop and zero in on a few areas that aren’t quite working. And then give them work. If they don’t work, discard them. Virgo energy is calm and logical but (as an earth sign) No detached from the immediate realities. There’s also the sensitivity, the need to intuitively correct what’s broken. While Virgo’s help may not be unconditional, it is highly effective due to its combination of sensitivity and practicality.

Also today we have a precise trine between Mercury in Virgo and Pluto Rx (26 deg) in Capricorn which is a great way to start this season – the information is amplified to the point where accurate words/observations occur easily. You will recognize the flaw and the solution. You’ll say the right thing—maybe not everyone wants to hear it, but it will be true and given with grace. This aspect cuts through the excess and leaves only the essentials.

And, Venus in Leo conjuncts Ceres (13 degrees) for a place of beauty and abundance. Ceres has strong ties with Virgo and with Venus she suggests nurturing the gift of love or life, all of which are saturated with Leo’s boldness and generosity. This is a prime time to recognize which areas of your life have potential for growth and celebrate them. A moment to be proud of what you have created with your high standards.

Leo/Virgo combo demands best-You are not compromising, you are not giving to anyone who has mistreated you. You deserve quality and happiness that is not tainted.

Mercury has entered its shadow zone on the 25th of Virgo – to look back and complete our transformation into Libra and Virgo
