Mercury and Mars Change Signs: Cancer, Taurus and Slow Down – Kelly Surtees Astrology

Tuesday July 5th brings about a change in planetary mood, as both Mercury and Mars change signs.

Mercury will transit in Cancer and Mars will transit in Taurus.

Cancer and Taurus are both calm signs, and have a slower pace than Gemini and Aries, where Mercury and Mars have just arrived.

So you too may hit the brakes or feel like it’s time to catch your breath after a period of more frenzied activity.

Mars in Taurus

In the past I’ve written extensively about Mars in Taurus here, where I talk about the importance of tortoiseshell and green and steady, steady progress. This is so much Mars in Taurus.

In 2022, Mars will join Uranus and the North Node in Taurus, also in Taurus, and this collectively and in your individual charts, Taurus subjects to a great deal of pressure, heat and a sort of push. adds energy.

There may be some moments of disruption and despair during the six weeks of Mars in Taurus. Perhaps you realize that you have to stop or stop something that is important so that you can be in the moment.

Mercury in Cancer is going to be pacified. Cancer, like all water signs, has a non-verbal quality, which means speaking less and thinking more, rummaging and reflecting. You may not be as expressive with others when Mercury is in Cancer.

Instead, you can choose to share only with your closest confidants. You may find writing or therapy sessions helpful and therapeutic. Mercury in Cancer is a good time to process your emotions and remember the past. You can talk about your memories or gain new insights about your mood and your personal ups and downs.

Later in July, Mercury and the Sun will leap into Leo, bringing warmth and confidence. Until then, you may prefer to stop, reevaluate, and rebuild.

Mercury has entered its shadow zone on the 25th of Virgo – to look back and complete our transformation into Libra and Virgo
