say no to yes
woo
Hen After we decided to buy our house about a quarter century ago, I was intimidated by a lot of things. This was a big step. But the thing that bothered me the most was that if a neighbor starts playing loud music or their dog keeps me awake with their barking, or… well, I won’t be able to leave quickly. . I would have been trapped. After all, it was worth it. But my option-boyfriend Gemini Moon was having a hard time getting locked in.
this week, as Venus Tries Saturn in Gemini (July 12, 2022, 9:28 pm PDT, 24.07 Gemini/Aquarius), it’s time to put an end to Gemini’s flirtatious ways and get serious. Whether it’s committed to a partner, idea, or home, suddenly getting serious feels worthwhile. But before we can give a definite “yes” to something, we have to say a lot of “no”s to what doesn’t fit in our lives.
Gemini doesn’t like to limit their options, so those “no”s can be painful. But Venus trine Saturn promises that saying the right “yes” makes it all worthwhile.

go away

We want to believe the best about the people we love. But no person is perfect, no matter how much we love them. and this week Venus square to Neptune (July 13, 2022, 10:24 p.m. PDT, 25.22 Gemini/Pisces) prompts us to consider whether we can still love the people closest to us even after knowing that their There’s nothing so cute about it.
Even if your relationships are going well, this aspect can indicate a challenge to our core values. Our politics, motivation figures, our approach to earning and managing money…any one of these can suddenly appear as naive or wrong-minded.
Venus moves fast, so this transit has only a glimpse effect, not more than a few days. But if Neptune is leaning hard on your chart during its long stay near 25º Pisces, this transit can make a big difference in how and who you love. Is there anyone, or anything, that you once believed should be let go? Remember what Venus learned from its trine yesterday for Saturn – the path to “yes” is paved with “no.” Moving away isn’t always the right response to disillusionment. But sometimes, it’s only one.

mid year review
P
On the first day of this year, I swore that I would make no resolutions other than to try to be a kinder and better version of myself.
I lied.
Well, that’s not true at all; I was honest, really. But old habits die hard, and I didn’t stick to that unrequited resolve. I soon return, like a swallow to capistrano, to my calendars and planners and markers, Creating an ambitious program designed to increase my market share of the planet.
Half a year later, those calendars and their neglected goals look a bit discolored, with their yellow edges curled up a bit. They’re a little embarrassing, like old photos of when you were so young and innocent and not quite yet fully filled in.
Near the start of each calendar year, a New Moon in Capricorn (this year, that was on January 2) signals a renewed commitment to becoming your best, most successful self. in the middle of the year, Capricorn full Moon (July 13, 2022, 11:38am PDT) Its mirror image is its response to calls. It’s time to face those optimistic pages of calendars and planners and compare their progress to date. There’s still time to change your strategy — or even your resolutions.

hey
One of my oldest friends sent me some blurry pictures from our grammar school days. Although my memory is generally not as it used to be, I could remember the names of every classmate in those pictures without any effort. But who was that long haired, fierce looking, weird girl with my name written beneath it? I remembered her, too, how she struggled to feel good about herself and fit in. Seeing my younger self caught my heart, I felt protective towards that girl. And for a moment, I realized how far I’ve come in decades, and also how similar I am.
Mercury is at its best conjunction with the Sun This week (July 16, 2022 at 12:38 pm PDT). (May 10-June 3, 2022) During its retrograde period, it was like a small child separated from Dad and running a little too far. After straightening, it started running to catch up with Dad; This is the day when Mercury closes that gap, eager to share information and gather it during retrograde.
This combination is good for holding your own, and to remember who you were, who you are now, and how far you have come. Enjoy it; From here, Mercury starts running forward, a child who wants to spread the word about you so that the world can welcome you when you arrive.

self oppression
I
It can be so exhausting, being human – living in an identity, having a biography, carrying so many memories and resentment and sadness. What would it be like if we were amnesia and didn’t know who we should be? How light we will feel, without any of the emotional burdens and limitations that are part of defining ourselves.
Today’s Mercury with Neptune and Trine from Sun (July 17, 2022, 12:52 a.m. PDT and 3:55 p.m. PDT, 25º20′ Cancer/Pisces, respectively) Provides a mini-vacation from the tyranny of the ego. We’re headed for the sunniest, sleepiest time of year for the Sun, as it makes one of its two annual trine aspects to Neptune on the same day as Mercury. And I love, here, the Sabian symbol for the Sun and Mercury, which is 26 Cancer: Content and Pleasure in Luxury, people reading on Davenports. It’s basically me being in my happiest and most natural habitat, kicking back on the couch and reading!
The Sabian symbol for Neptune is 26 Pisces, A new moon signifies that the time has come for people to pursue their various projects. If you need some alone time, see if you can organize it for this weekend. Neptune, I think, represents the part of us that wants to be alone anyway. So drink from the well of solitude and fuel yourself.

pleasures of home
I
Hate to shop – with one exception: I like to buy nice things for my home. I was born in Cancer with Venus, the house sign, and my happy place. When I’m painting a wall, evaluating a throw pillow, or cooking dinner for friends, I’m never happier.
Venus signifies happiness and harmony and is entering Cancer this week (July 17, 2022, 6:32 p.m. PDT, until Aug. 11). Right now, most of us are spending more time at home than ever before—and the result is something that often falls short of these Venus ideals. Our homes may seem too small, too full; We may fear losing them; We may worry about keeping them full of necessities, and miss our friends going to parties.
What is most worrying is that we do not get along well with those closest to us, including those under our roofs. As Venus passes through Cancer from August 11th, it will square Jupiter and oppose Pluto, and we’ll struggle to find enough space for ourselves. So break out the gauze wand and candles. Buy your home a gift. Remind yourself how much you love your home and the creatures that share it with you.
