Understanding Retrograde in Astrology
Mercury retrograde, Mars retrograde and rest
When a heavenly body appears to be traveling beyond a sign, then run (or remain stationary) in the same spot before reversing, it is a retrograde. Instead of moving smoothly, counterclockwise around the wheel of the horoscope, the planet moves clockwise. Back to front from the point of view of astrology.
A planet like Mercury can do this in Gemini, then actually reverse into the previous sign (Taurus), before turning backwards, standing still, and finally the way it came – all the way to Gemini can go back through.

The classic mistake that beginners make is to assume that R means ‘the planet turns retrograde today’ and that D means ‘the planet turns retrograde today.’ So reversals, retractions, rehearsals start on day R and end on day D. This applies to Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, and anything that seems to move backwards.
Any zodiac has 0 to 29 degrees. Usually, heavenly bodies move in sequence, such as – 0, 1, 2, 3 and so on. when they reverse, So the process, indicated by the planet, is shown by the sign in the field of life.
You start counting retrograde on the day a planet moves to the same degree and sign, where it will soon freeze, get stuck, then repeat itself.

Examples in 2022 and 2023
Not every retrograde (reversed, stalled process) is going to be difficult. Sometimes a retread or rethink is a good idea. It really depends on what you want to do. Using 2022 and 2023 as examples, we have Mars retrograde from 8 to 25 degrees of Gemini, starting on Sunday 4th September 2022. It runs like this:
Mars may seem to be moving normally, from Sunday 4 September 2022, as it moves through 8 t0 15 degrees of Gemini, but something happens on 30 October. He changes R for retrograde and begins running backwards from 25 to 8 Gemini, until he stands still (direct to D) on January 12, 2023.
At that point a lot of astrologers on Twitter will start telling you “it’s over” (what is But though? I’ll get to that in a moment.) Nothing like that. Mars then moves to 8, 9, 10, 11 and so on on the 25th of Gemini, completing a circuit on March 17th.
So don’t be a fool. R and D are just points in the loop, not the loop.
What is retrograde and how to explain it
If you see the planets as people moving backwards, it helps. Mars is the Roman god of war. He is an action man. The sign tells you where he runs. area of life. In Gemini, that’s the internet.

Which planet is retrograde and what does it mean?

Retrogrades are not negative in nature, they only show a backwards traction. The final result on Mercury retrograde is rarely final. You have to wait for loop.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard
Astrology doesn’t need to be complicated. Johnny Depp is a Sun Gemini. When the verdict was pronounced in his battle with Ember Heard, it happened on Mercury retrograde in Gemini to the solar first house of his reputation and image.

If you want to earn or save money then you will embrace Jupiter in Taurus from 17th May 2023 as it rapidly moves from 0 to 15 degrees in your second house of personal income.
Then he changes to R to be retrograde on 4th September 2023, which will not bother you, as you have done in a reversal and rehearsal. Think of Jupiter as a ride on a big balloon, carried backwards by air currents.

You would expect a process with backward traction from 4 September 2023 (he will repeat his steps and move to old ground, and so will your plan) before turning straight D at 5 Taurus on Sunday 31 December 2023. It’s New Year’s Eve so you can bet a lot of financial types are using that as a deadline for something.
Jupiter then moves forward – 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 Taurus and so on – crossing the critical 15 degree point and completing its loop from March 21 to March 25, 2024. After that the pinball machine game is over and Jupiter is just going to Jupiter. Moving forward, without looking back over his shoulder, throwing financial solutions and opportunities around like confetti as he moves from 15 to 29 Taurus, ending the entire cycle on May 25, 2024.
bottom line on retrograde
Don’t mess with them unless you know what you’re doing. If you are consulting an astrologer, make sure that he or she works with the one who is known as shadow Duration. Some people call it retroshadow. you can also hear the words Retroshed.
You can set your clock by retrograde. On the day when a planet is at a turning point, you’ll see Twitter bursting with cancellations, rescheduling, reversals, pauses, and more. In terms of politicians, there is a really dramatic retrograde to watch out for, Pluto retrograde from 0 Aquarius to 29 Capricorn, which occurs on Monday, June 12, 2023. Saturn retrogrades in Pisces a week later on Saturday 17th June, so that month is a significant turnaround for many people.
