Understanding the bride or the ruler of the day – get more support by staying in tune. – Applied Vedic Astrology
Understand the daily time and day rule
Clients often ask me about my mixed forecast this month. I went on to say how good it would be with exalted Venus or better Saturn but they are not feeling it on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday. what gives?
In daily life, Vedic tradition has observed the moon’s course through the constellations each month.a constellation roughly how much the moon covers in a day) they add this effect to weekdays, In India, as well as in China, Tibet and Europe, the seven days of the week correspond in a similar way with the seven visible planets since time immemorial. Thus, if there is a need to please Shani, it is better that you do it on a Saturday. Thus they come on lucky or inauspicious days for a person and areas of daily forecast.
The ruler of the day starts at sunrise and not midnight and so in winter if it is Sunday morning and it is still dark and you use that time, you are still on Saturday.
While most people can easily remember this sequence, if not, here is a handy guide. Most are obvious:
sunday-Sunday- Day to connect with God, go to church or temple.
monday-Moon Day- A day for cooking, cleaning, nutrition activities.
Tuesday– Mars Day- The day to go to war, fight your enemies, engage in competitive sports.
Wednesday-Mercury Day- (Mercoledì in Italian) reminds us of the relation to Mercury. A day for writing, marketing and business activities.
Thursday-Jupiter Day- (Thursday-Thor is the Scandinavian equivalent of Jupiter): a day for spiritual knowledge and teaching and dedication to the Guru.
Friday-Venus Day (Freitag in Germany reminds us of the Scandinavian equivalent—Freida—the goddess of peace.) A day for dating, relationships, fun, music, dancing, and fun. The day is good for business expansion, marketing and business relations.
Saturday-Saturn day – day to do household chores, focus on work, cleaning.
The 7 days of the week are associated with the rays of the rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violent and no wonder Sunday is associated with red and ruby and therefore wearing red on Sunday would support that colour. Orange or cream is associated with the moon, so wear that color on Monday to support the moon. Tuesday is related to yellow or red and Mars. Green and Mercury on Wednesday and blue or (yellow) from Thursday and indigo on Friday and purple or blue/black from Saturn. Wearing the color of the day of the week can empower the planet, especially if it is weak in your birth chart or in transit if you wish to strengthen it.
Most of this is obvious but there is a natural support to do these activities on certain days of the week as their nature is associated with that day and we naturally do things on that day. Friday night is date and party time to honor Venus and we build and build and tinker with things in the garage on Saturdays. When we do things on natural days of the week, we get more support from the planet.
The planets manifest their nature in transit on the basis of their power in the sky. That’s why Fridays and Thursdays are especially elaborate when Venus is in Libra, Taurus and Pisces and even Aquarius. Wednesday will be the best day with Mercury in Gemini and Virgo and Libra and Taurus and especially difficult in Pisces. Mars will have a good Tuesday when Mars is in Pisces, Aries, Leo, Scorpio and Sagittarius and Capricorn, and this summer in July when Mars and Mercury are together in Cancer, it will be difficult.
Mondays are always mixed depending on what is happening with the Moon that week. Sundays are strong this month with the Sun in Sagittarius but difficult October 16-November. 15 When the Sun is in Libra, Pisces, Aries, Leo and Scorpio and is associated with Jupiter in conjunction with Jupiter, such as Purvabhadrapada and Punvasu (Gemini 20-Cancer 3.20) and Vishakha (Libra 20-Scorpio 3.20).
What are your lucky days of the week?
The secret is based on the planets in your birth chart, you will find that certain days of the week will be an innate good fortune or difficult quality for them. For example I have Mars in Aries and chart lord and Jupiter is fixed and an exalted Saturn and my Sun in Pisces is my strongest planet. So Sunday is my best day of the week and then Thursday, Tuesday and Saturday in that order and that helps me plan and make appointments. Venus is my weakest planet in my horoscope and is the lord of my 7th and 12th house and after Monday, Friday is my most challenging day, which is associated with my debilitated Moon in Scorpio. Wednesday is a difficult day for me and is conjoined with Mercury in the 4th house in Aquarius.
So when you’re planning an appointment, consider your lucky days of the week for your birth chart and then consider what’s happening in transit.
