Brene Brown: The South Node in Scorpio, a Sabbatical and the Need for Space – Kelly Surtees Astrology

On May 9, Brene Brown posted on her website and social media accounts that she would be taking an extended sabbatical during the summer. She writes about the need for space and how much she has suffered personally and professionally over the past two years. As part of this sabbatical, his organization will be taking a break from posting on social media for a few months and a podcast hiatus.

I loved hearing someone talk so publicly that the space and room needed to be re-imagined. I think this is something we don’t see enough of these days and is considered a bold and inspiring option.

I’m someone who likes to take a break, go dark and turn my attention inward. I think it can be restorative to step back and take time off from your normal routine and responsibilities. It feeds my soul and nourishes me from within. That is the inner well that I draw for my work, for teaching, for client’s work, for writing. Maybe his decision struck a chord with me because I’ve been where Brene Brown is now.

And of course, the astrologer in me was curious as to what was active in her birth chart to fuel such a deep desire for comfort and retreat.
