Sun and Moon are both in the signs ruled by Mercury Virgo first trimester (June 6, 2022, 7:48am PDT, 16-51′ Virgo), and it’s often that time of year when my work slows down a bit and my thoughts turn to cleaning the house and clearing out the clutter Huh. I think I’ll reach that sometime this week; My fingers are itching. But Mercury is in Taurus’s final stride and has a hand on the throttle, slowing me down a bit—in a good way.
This First Quarter Moon Calls Back the Virgo New Moon On 6 September 2021 at 14.38 Virgo. That degree is practically right at the top of my midheaven, the career angle of my chart, and it was a ridiculously busy time for my business. I lost hair over it. At that point, I remember thinking, “I really need to start doing things differently. I’m going to die at this rate.” But then things got even busier, and now only the tide has gone out and thrown me over the edge. On this first quarter moon, near the same degree as Virgo, it’s time to take a minute, take stock, and put that Virgo new moon insight into practical action.
I have since taken some steps to try to get my life under control, but I have a long way to go. It is really helpful for me to see myself navigating this crossroads in astrological terms, and to recognize its point of origin. When you have a New Moon very close to a critical point in your chart, it is worth watching its lunar phase family manifest, with a new critical phase every 9 months for 2.5 years. Big changes take time, and if you’ve been paying attention to this cycle, you can see the full story. (Read about the Chandra Charan family here.)
How did that Kanya Amavasya time feel for you? Especially if something is within the degrees of 14 Virgo (or Gemini, Sagittarius, or Pisces) in your birth chart, try to remember what you might have whispered to yourself at a crucial moment. It was a small promise you made to yourself, and now is the time to do something – anything – to keep that promise.

Trine Aspect of Arcuri to Pluto (June 10, 2022, 2:21 PM PDT) Opens a portal for reinvestment. It’s like a young man going off to college and recognizing the opportunity to adopt a new surname (or drop an obnoxious one), and give up his “slacker” reputation for a spot on the dean’s list.
Name and title matter. They are Mercury’s way of telling the world what to think of us. In recent weeks, Mercury has made the last two quarterly aspects to Pluto on April 28 and May 25. Hence it has been more consequential than the normal time of reconstruction.
Mercury in aspect to Pluto draws attention to the power of names, words and definitions to affect how we are. Usually, it starts with how we think and talk about ourselves. This week, pay attention if you find yourself using self-deprecating jokes or demeaning yourself. Notice how often you explicitly apologize when an apology is not needed, simply apologizing for existing. When Mercury joins Pluto, it’s time to take control of our labels, names, and stories. They matter. so do we.

More than thirty years ago, I met my husband when he came to me to study astrology. But I heard his voice for the first time several months ago on my answering machine. The minute I did i felt the rapid movement of something i can only call lightning, I had never experienced anything like this before, nor have I experienced anything remotely like it since.
Which is weird, because when I actually met him in person, he seemed like fun but not romance material. After getting to know each other as friends for several months, it took a long time. But there was something in me, from that first phone message, that this person would change my life.
Within two years, I left my budding, pre-Internet astrology business, moved to another city, and married him. I was deeply rooted in Los Angeles, and the lack of power would not have moved me elsewhere.
Most of us, most of us don’t like to change. Oh, there are some hypocrites who live for it; But generally, as long as we’re in a fairly comfortable position, we’d prefer to stay.
but look. Look there the man who has fallen madly in love with some divine being. See that overnight he quits his job, leaves his apartment, and travels across the country for the purpose of his desire. Oh, he can’t change his life so fast.
If given a chance, love can change us. see as Venus, Goddess of Desire – Powerful, seductive, in her Taurus sign – Forms a conjunction with Uranus, Gods of Change (June 11, 2022, 3:57 p.m. PDT). If you’ve been paying attention, Venus might be kissing your cheek. If you’re lucky, the lightning will flash – and no one can tell where you might end up from there.
