New Moon in Gemini May 30
May 27~June 3
“The Friendly Gossips” by Eugene de Blas
Thus the mind is neither a source of light, like the shining sun, nor the reflected light of something greater like the moon, but a shimmering pool of emergent potentials, which reflect the sun, the moon, and any other object. capable of doing what it takes to dance. its surface. Its function is more important than its essence, and is significantly influenced by the nature that stirs its pristine waters. , Andrew Olendzki
On May 30 (7:31 a.m. EDT, 4:31 a.m. PDT, 12:31 p.m. Universal Greenwich Time), we have a new moon at 9º Gemini 03. Gemini is the epitome of intelligence and dexterity, full of restless curiosity and the changing tides of the seasons. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, as spring makes way for summer, we step out of our dens, greet neighbors, and share the day’s news.
Gemini is a Mercury sign, and Mercury is slowing to its direct station on June 3. Still retrograde, Mercury is asking us to stop and restrain Gemini’s restlessness. Difficult, because it’s like capturing air in a bottle. The Mars/Jupiter conjunction does little to contain it, and hold it back, only throwing more movement into the air. Mercury and Saturn will both be positioned at the degree of the most recent lunar eclipse, and thus are asking us to just stop. Stop and focus. Go back to the things that matter.
A total lunar eclipse in Scorpio had this remarkable ability to reveal the dark underbelly in society. Digging out all the rotten and worst that humanity has to offer. But also reminding us that we can do better, that we can grow, that there is more to it than this. Mercury near the North Node in Taurus will provide remedies, advice and guidance. It will provide light in our own lives. But right now, it’s telling us to stop and pay attention.
Mercury returns late to Taurus only for some unfinished business, trying to show and remind us the things that really matter in our lives. What are our priorities? And making sure we have those priorities before we start anew. Meditation is still being turned inward, where we are being asked to pay attention to our heart and mind, and what are we holding there.
But while we are being asked to stop and gather further information, New Moons are still very likely as we gather the seeds of intention, and seek fertile ground that will allow these to grow. In this time of innovation, with the birth of the new lunar month, take some time to take a break, find peace, and consider what your real priorities are, and how you can make these further reality in your life.
The new moon in Gemini is traditionally a good time to:
-
Learn something new: Take a class, find out more, indulge your curiosity. Go to a library. Venture into a bookstore. attend a lecture. learn a new skill.
-
Share information: Start a journal. Call old friends. Chat with neighbors. Meet for lunch. The curious mind wants to know, and our curiosity is now getting recharged.
-
Get to know your neighborhood or surroundings: Short day trips. Visiting the new shop in town. Act like a tourist visiting a new place.
-
Be informed: With Mercury still retrograde, and still in eclipse season, we can be distracted by too much information that requires us to make clear decisions when we don’t have all the facts. check. Expose. Use this week’s strong Mercury/Pluto trine to analyze, probe, and see beneath the surface. What we learn now may prove useful in the future.

Gemini’s domain is over: Words, data, communication, information and facts. language and how it is used. Gossip, small talk, curiosity and gossip. reading and writing. Libraries and book stores. Places where information is gathered and where people gather for information. School, youth, student, teacher. Ability to multi-task, juggle and whistle at the same time. Gemini is the epitome of cleverness, cleverness, intelligence and humour. It rules comedians, writers, sales people, and customer relations. When overloaded, Gemini can consume us with anxiety and confusion. But while strong it allows us to make connections easily and seamlessly. Appointments, schedules, managing time. Walking, short trips, road maps, and the vehicles that will help get us there: bicycles, cars, trains, and buses, and things to go.
Gemini : Gemini can be very busy and can be informational and distracting. We are curious, and full of all kinds of thoughts, as we are drawn here, there, and everywhere. This is also a very social sign, and you will see the crowd re-emerging in the world.
What is needed: Find ways to connect with your heart center, and let it serve you as your lovestar as you move forward. Then make a list of questions you’d like to see answered or find out more about in the coming weeks.
If you want to make affirmations or intentions with a new moon, do so after the time of the new moon in your area, but when it’s still new and full of potential (from new moon on Monday to crescent on Friday, June 3).
