The total lunar eclipse is shocking to watch. If you have ever had the opportunity to see one, it is awe-inspiring and fascinating and can somehow open us to a depth of mystery that only nature and the earth can do. But even if you haven’t seen it, energetic and some might even say that its psychological effects can and will be felt far and wide.

Eclipses increase the energy of the moment. It is a period where great events, opportunities and changes in life can and do happen. The full moon is a way of illuminating the darker aspects of our lives, the shadows, patterns, and what is hidden or ready to be uncovered. External conflicts can come to a sharp climax as light shines on the unconscious revealing that now is the right time to confront.

Since this full moon is in Taurus opposite the Sun in Scorpio, some of the biggest arcane stories we’ll see will involve issues related to our deepest survival instincts. Issues surrounding sex, love, money, partnerships, resources and power (or powerlessness).

This is the time to focus on the strengths and personal values ​​of yourself and your partners. And once and for all to distance yourself from the vampiric relationships that hold you back. Because the power we have and use is everything, the “right” use of power or the “wrong” use of power makes all the difference.

The shadow ideal of Scorpio has a lot to do with loss, betrayal and abandonment. The supreme manifestation of Scorpio is all about joining forces and creating immense value and wealth from the union. Deep soul contracts and changes alter the very nature of who we are. It is death and rebirth and the need for change and growth in order to eventually return to the peace and tranquility of the stillness… attained.

With Venus in Aries with Chiron and Mars and Neptune currently joining Pisces this week, many will face revelations of brutal betrayal and personal disillusionment. A great teacher once said that disillusionment is the greatest pain one can go through. To feel that all one thought was true, just never was… To fall prey to being innocent and nave is a fate we all experience in one way or another. It is part of the maturation process, it is part of the awakening process. To be able to bear the weight of consciousness takes great responsibility, and pain, suffering and struggle is a way of fortifying us to the cause.

Ultimately, Scorpio and Taurus are all about harnessing the power within you and manifesting it in a physical form. To create something of oneself from the sanctuary and to join forces and enhance the other or aid in their victory. Because we are nothing without each other’s love and support. Look around, the power we have is great and even more remarkable when combined.
