French Open Tennis 2022 – Sally Kirkman Astrologer

French Open Tennis is already underway. I often went on retreat during Mercury retrograde phase and didn’t come back until the tournament started. I arrived home to find there was a problem with my website/hosting and it got fixed today – thanks Mercury retrograde!

I know some of you are adding comments to other pages on the website, but hopefully the major astrological interpretations can now be in one place.

tournament chart

Let’s jump in with the astrology of the tournament charts – see the image above. Leo ascendant meaning Sun in Gemini is the chart ruler for a positive sextile aspect with lucky Jupiter in Aries.

Jupiter’s transit is always good news for the players and this combination points towards the favourites. Djokovic was the winner of the French Open 2021 as he defeated French Open record holder Nadal in the semi-finals and Tsitsipas in the final.

Lovely Venus is also in the mid sky in Aries. The ruler of the middle sky Mars is at the end of the zodiac in Pisces and is about to start a new cycle and will make a powerful conjunction with Jupiter in Aries. May 29,

It is always important to consider the Moon in these charts and the conjunction of Saturn in Aquarius. However, the Moon is definitely void and does not form any other planetary aspect before leaving Aquarius. Tradition says ‘nothing new will come from this’, another nod to last year’s winner Djokovic doing well.

Two other points to note – Mercury is retrograde throughout the tournament and only turns straight June 3 Feather 26 Taurus, Does this mean that something hidden will be revealed at the end of the tournament? (Note to self – it might be worth looking at past tournaments with Mercury retrograde to see if any patterns emerge.)

Also, Saturn barely moves throughout the tournament as it turns retrograde. 4 JuneFinal day. This may not be important as it changes direction after the tournament is over. Still, anyone transiting Saturn can feel the weight of Saturn more intensely than usual.

top 6 seeds

Carlos Alcaraz (6) b. May 5, 2003, time unknown, El Palmar, Spain – Sun Taurus

I’m starting with Whizkid Carlos Alcarz. He beat Nadal, Djokovic and Zverev at the Madrid Open May 8 – An astonishing achievement for someone so young. Important Astrology Uranus Was Directly On Their Sun 14 Taurus, As we’ve seen in the past, Uranus transits, especially by conjunction, can be spectacular—the surprising element.

At only 19 years old, he had the leading speech going into the French Open, which fits his Venus 16 mesh On the midheaven of the tournament chart. But can he win? As I write this blog, Alcarz has just come back from an inevitable defeat. On the verge of going out, he is now in the third round.

Alkaraj is born on the Sun/Mercury conjunction in Taurus and we often see a strong Mercury or Gemini factor in tennis players. There is no time of birth for that so we don’t have all the information we need to dig deeper.

However, there are some strange synchronicities to consider. First, ascending the tournament chart 7 Leo And the moon in the last chart – see below – is 9 Leo and the Jupiter of Alkraj is 9 Leo,

Also, Mercury is retrograde 0 Gemini As the tournament begins, precisely match the North Node of Alcaraz 0 Gemini, It doesn’t sound like a win to me, but he’s definitely going to get attention during this tournament if nothing else. I doubt there will be many people talking about him.

Novak Djokovic (1) b. May 22, 1987, 11:25 PM, Belgrade, Yugoslavia – Sun Gemini

Djokovic was missing at the Australian Open 2022 – the big story of the tournament. In 2021, Djokovic won two of the four Grand Slams, but Nadal’s victory at the Australian Open 2022 took Nadal’s Grand Slam tally to 21, well above Djokovic and Federer at 20 each. Djokovic is closing in.

You have to like Djokovic’s astrology this tournament and this year. This is because it is his Jupiter return year. His Jupiter is 18 Aries 56The tournament sums up the chart’s midheaven – the success point – almost exactly.

Also, Djokovic’s Moon is 5 mesh And lucky Jupiter will be fine with its moon 13 June, culminating in the entire tournament. The working planet Mars has now joined Jupiter in Aries and will also activate Djokovic’s Moon and North Node in Aries. The tournament also started on his birthday.

There is a major progress that is accurate May 31 – Venus moved opposite Saturn – but it may be more about what is happening at home rather than on the court. Based on his astrology chart with mutable Uranus, there is likely to be some tension in his personal life, but it will take a lot to get them out of the way.

Rafael Nadal (5) b. June 3, 1986, 7:10 pm, Mancor, Spain – Sun Gemini

Nadal is one year older than Djokovic. His natal Jupiter is in Pisces, where he won the Australian Open earlier this year. He doesn’t have much singing astrologically in his chart at the moment, so will need a lot of willpower to see him win here.

And, his old leg condition flared up again a few weeks ago, so that Mercury retrograde isn’t doing him any favors. Nadal is born with Mercury in Gemini where Mercury is currently retrograde.

Daniil Medvedev (2) b. 11 February 1996, unknown time, Moscow, Russia – Sun Aquarius

Medvedev won the US Open 2021 when Jupiter was in Aquarius and was sitting well between his Sun/Mars Aquarius. Another player who has no time of birth, Medvedev has Venus 2 mesh and being triggered by Jupiter 2 mesh As the tournament starts. Whether it is related to his career or not, we cannot be sure without the time of birth but it is a lucky influence nonetheless.

Alexander Zverev (3) b. April 20, 1997, 3:00 AM, Hamburg, Germany – Sun Aries

Alexander Zverev is born in Aries/Taurus but he sometimes wears the Aries glyph on a chain. The first of the two possible births shows that he is born under the sign of Rama. He can also be quite furious on the court.

Jupiter in Aries is likely to be good news for him, although it is more likely to kick in next year when he conjuncts Jupiter with his Sun Aries. He was born with retrograde Mercury and the predominance of the planets Aries cannot harm him.

If the time of his birth is correct, then the eclipse November 2021 and May 2022 The drama, which is hitting the foundations of its charts, can coincide with ups and downs.

Stefanos Tsitsipas (4) b. August 12, 1998, 12:35 pm, Athens, Greece – Surya Singh

Tsitsipas is a sun lion like Roger Federer. He has some good relations with the tournament charts. His Jupiter of birth at . is 27 Pisces triggered by Mars 28 Pisces, His moon at . is 17 Aries On the midheaven of the tournament chart.

Also, Jupiter will be getting close to a positive trine aspect in the middle of his birth 5 Leo As the tournament progresses. Otherwise, nothing big to shout about and he has a challenging Pluto transit to his natal Venus, possibly about love or money rather than tennis.

Who will win?

Djokovic has to be defeated.
