Mercury fixed on 27 Taurus, affecting June, July, August and September 2022 – Knowledge sharing from a place of peace
by Robert Wilkinson
Mercury goes into direct motion on June 3 at 1 p.m. PDT, and remains in motion for the next 10 weeks. It refers to the ability to coordinate, to put things together, to understand the whole and the parts, to process and accelerate the larger chakras. It is now fixed at 27 Capricorn, which influences that area in our lives for the coming 3 months.
Mercury, or Hermes, “The Guide of Souls,” is also known as the Divine Trickster, as well as all lesser models. What does it mean for Mercury to move directly into 27 Taurus? Perhaps it will be useful to see what the last Mercury direct station brought us from early February 2022.
You will remember that the last time Mercury was fixed at 25 Capricorn in February, and this year’s hybrid element Mercury retrograde period, which begins in the air signs and ends in the earth signs. The last Mercury RX 11 begins at Aquarius and moves back to Capricorn; It started at 5 Gemini and will go back to 27 Taurus, and September RX will start at 9 Libra and go back to 25 Virgo.
This retrograde period began in the 5th Gemini, allowing us to review recent new developments in our lives concerning things and ideas, and giving us a new look at where we are at work wherever 1 Aquarius is. How well grounding and expressing the Aquarian chakras are in our chart. We have now taken a journey through parts of our past, remembered many things about people and ideals that have changed our understanding of those people and events, and over the past 3 weeks many Gemini and Taurus has got a different perspective on things. From here we move on to a new manifestation of these energies in our lives which will take a clear shape when Venus and then Mars transit from 27 Taurus to 5 Gemini.
We have now re-examined the ground we first observed through Mercury’s first pass from April 25 to May 10, and have since re-examined via Rx. Of major importance will be when Mercury moves back to 5 Gemini on June 18th, because then it moves into uncharted territories, moving all of its RX lessons into retrograde until September 2022 when we review what we’ve done this year. Let’s learn about Taurus and Gemini. The duration of theme conditioning from now to then.
We are now facing 4 months of being directed to our souls using the attributes of 27 Taurus. How we use those realizations to coordinate qualities of that degree into our lives over the next 4 months will show us a different way of finding individual spiritual effectiveness within the group work we face.
We should all begin to see, hear and understand things that point to some mercurial fulfillment of how we are and continue to be directed to our soul. Given that it falls on the 27th of Taurus, that area of our chart will focus on where the past gives way to the future.
Here I’ll note that February’s direct station sets the theme for the entire year, as this was exactly the degree to which Mercury would turn retrograde in late December. That SD degree on 11 Aquarius is the general Mercury retrograde subject for 2022. For now, let’s take a look at the specific theme for the next few months!
Sabian Symbol for the Direct Station of Mercury
The Sabian symbol for the 27th degree of Taurus is “a squaw that sells pearls”. In personality astrology, Where Rudhayar uses the original Dr. Jones” class notes on symbolism, he says that the degree is about “a dignified offering of the fruits of wisdom” to those who are small or immature, and “a patient understanding of fate.” “, although he also attributes “mediation.” To this degree.
In “astrology board He said the degree is about “peaceful adaptation to collective needs” where we offer others “products of our culture”. It can help us understand what has sustained us and brought us “personal peace and inner contentment.”
Here we “peacefully re-integrate” our mind into the group/culture, and accommodate the needs of the whole of which we are part. He says that this degree comes in the view of periods of enjoyment, acts of discrimination, and affirmations at the individual-mental level.
Dr. Jones, the creator of the Sabian symbol, states that it is “an inner reality” anchored in a degree of “primordial indifference of the soul to everyday superficiality”. Here we can find “a great gratification of experience”, which discards petty and irrelevant perspectives.
He further states that “personal existence is justified in allegiance to recognized tokens of cultural heritage.” He provides the keyword DETACHMENT, and states that when operating positively, the degree is “the creative pride or ability of mankind to dramatize effectively, even in the least of circumstances.”
From this symbol, it seems that the next few weeks will help us with some personal-mental activity in the steady focus of affirming something related to our soul and how our cultural whole sustains us. Here we can find healing and peace by seeing the power of letting go of superficial relationships and thinking, seeing the power of detachment to find a more effective self-display.
This is a Mercurial stage to look forward to as we prepare for radical expansion for individual “personal revolutions,” when Jupiter transits this degree in May 2024, shortly followed by Uranus at this degree between July and October 2024. Occupies and repeatedly in late April and early May 2025. This station allows our Mercury to express our knowledge in simple and pleasant ways.
Some relevance is that this perpendicular station falls on the exact degree of the Sun on the 2011 Vesak Festival full moon. That “Buddha Birthday” poured into the world a new “Buddha wisdom” that deeply influenced the rest of 2011 until the 2011 Taurus-Scorpio full moon. It may bring in some echoes, or memory of an aspect of that knowledge in some way, thanks to the stabilizing influence of Mercury.
from here we proceed
27 Taurus is now a launch point in the Gemini and Virgo sectors of our charts entering a new (and somewhat familiar) zone with an added dose of Saturn through the position of Mercury in Capricorn to Taurus . Now as we move on, it’s time to go inside ourselves to find a more secure anchorage in our own knowledge while enjoying both what we have achieved and what we have to offer our world. We now have a new understanding of things past and present in our late Taurus and early Gemini chart areas.
Mercury begins to follow the Sun toward its next Superior conjunction, bringing all its reflections and reviews into the now. We just finished the second half of this year’s “Air to Earth” retrograde, and there are new ways to understand our Gemini and Virgo sectors as well as our late Taurus and early Gemini areas of our charts.
We’ll close today with a reminder that although Mercury is now direct and won’t be retrograde again until September 2022, the retrograde we just experienced will affect the coming months until the next Mercury settles on the 9th of Libra Go. At that point we’ll take a look at what we’ve discovered since May and find ourselves “returning to the source” for new inspiration. As the Moon positions on the “First High Moon” of spring 2021, we will likely reconnect with the “life energy” of 2021 in a new way.
Of course you can learn more about retrograde past, present or future by getting your copy of my book A new look at Mercury retrograde. Here’s the Amazon Link Where You Can Order A New Look at Mercury Retrograde To investigate possible ways of retrograde effect of Mercury in the next 4 months. That link will also allow you to order an eBook copy on the Kindle, or you can head over to B&N’s Nook instead. Just make sure you get the 2016 second edition with the book award on the cover, not the 1997 Weezer first edition.
In Part 2, we’ll continue to examine what we can expect over the next 3 months if Mercury is direct.
